Initial Research

the definition of weather is the state of the atmosphere at a particular place and time as regards heat, cloudiness, dryness, sunshine, wind, rain, etc.

Weather and its (Germanic) kindred terms wind and window are derivatives of the very common, very complicated Proto-Indo-European root awe-, awē-, wē- “to blow.” The variant awe- is the source of Germanic wedram “storm, weather” (Old English weder, English weather ). The suffixed variant wēn- forms Latin ventum “wind,” and English wind and window.
Window is first recorded in Middle English in the first half of the 13th century. It comes from Old Norse vindauga “wind eye,” originally an opening in a gable or roof to release smoke and admit light. (The Old Norse word came into Old English before the initial w- became v- in literary Old Norse.) i found this in the dictionary.

my idea came from how we had to choose 3 random word from the board, mine was dystopian sun cut so I thought dystopian is suffering and the way I linked suffering with the sun is a devil bc the sun is made out of fire and during my research I found the sun devil flower so I did some research on all that to start generating more ideas

so I started doing some research and came to the conclusion that I wanted to do a out of earth presence based on the sun and I wasn't finding much to do with the sun and the devil and ays to link it and develop my idea then I found Amaterasu the sun goddess...

I started doing research into Amaterasu and Japanese culture and the mythioligu behind her but soon realised that I don't know enough about it al to speak on it and the last thing I want to do is appropriate their culture so I directed my project into something bit less personal and something I can speak on.

after that I started researching into Japanese artists and how they portrayed their art.

then i found a piece by tama ko katoa and i was largely inspired by this piece "plum blossom"

this made me interested in blossom trees and they are a staple in Japanese art.
